An MRI Review is educational only. It is not a medical evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment plan, and it is not a commitment to surgery — any medical evaluation takes place with the surgeon or non-operative provider you are referred to. Not for emergencies: new bladder or bowel changes, groin numbness, or rapidly worsening weakness need immediate care — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

A spectrum of modern spine surgery

Preserve Motion When We Can. Restore Stability When We Need To.

The goal is not to avoid fusion at all costs — and it is not to use the newest technology simply because it exists. The goal is to choose the least disruptive operation that can reliably address the patient's anatomy, symptoms, instability, and long-term needs.

The operation should fit the problem — not the other way around. Some patients are excellent candidates for motion-preserving surgery. Others benefit more from fusion because stability, alignment, deformity, or degeneration makes reconstruction the more reliable choice.

Endoscopic DecompressionHighly focused nerve decompression through a small working channel.
Minimally Invasive SurgeryFocused access designed to reduce unnecessary tissue disruption.
Disc ReplacementMotion preservation for appropriately selected cervical and lumbar patients.
Robotic-Guided FusionStabilization and reconstruction using modern planning and navigation.
Complex ReconstructionDeformity correction, revision surgery, and larger reconstruction when needed.

Addison Wood, DO, PhD

Comprehensive cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine care

Dr. Addison Wood is a board-eligible, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in the evaluation and surgical treatment of disorders affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine — from disc herniations and stenosis to deformity, fractures, tumors, and complex revision surgery.

His PhD in structural anatomy and background in musculoskeletal biomechanics research shape a practical philosophy: understand the anatomy, match the operation to the problem, and use technology only when it improves the plan. Beyond the operating room, he teaches medical students and healthcare professionals, has published and presented nationally and internationally, and serves as a peer reviewer for The Spine Journal.

“My mission is to help people move better, live healthier, and get back to what they love.”
